Mum, I'm sorry for the mistakes I made and the conflicts that we had, for all the times I hurt you and all the times I made you mad. I hope that you know just how sorry I am and how much I love you. Like many families, we had our disagreements, but I am thankful to God that in the months towards the end of your life, we had a relationship as a mother and daughter should. I am so grateful that you celebrated my birthday with me shortly before you passed away - that day, along with countless other joyful moments we shared, will forever be cherished. I wish we had more time together, yet I find comfort in the belief that you are now at peace. Thank you for being my mum; I was fortunate to have you. I deeply regret not telling you how much I loved you before you passed but I hope that you know that I did. Sleep peacefully, Mum. I hope you find joy for all eternity with the family members and friends who are waiting for you in heaven.
